On a drive across the river near Rhinebeck I saw this scene on River Road north of the Kingston Bridge. I was taken by the cold appearance of the day so I painted it with a very heavy sky but it just did not work. I repainted it with a much lighter sky which I liked better. The painting is on Wallis museum grade white paper and is 12X9 inches.
