This painting is of Kingston Point where the NYC steam boats docked and is painted on Wallis Professional paper. The image size is 11.625 X 17.625 inches. The Wallis paper has a very sharp tooth compared to other sanded papers and therefore gobbles up pastel at an alarming rate. It is also hard on the fingers. I added some darker blue streaks to the water and was using my finger to blend them until I was surprised to find that I had sanded off the end of my finger until it was raw.
